Beja na Rua has been running since July and closes on 20 September
Two months of street art, cinema, theatre and poetry in Beja's historic centre, free throughout, laid out across four themed quarters.

Beja na Rua takes the streets, squares and courtyards of Beja's historic centre and treats them as stages. From 22 July to 20 September 2026 the festival brings together around forty artistic projects across music, theatre, dance, street art, cinema, animation, poetry and storytelling — everything outdoors, everything free.
It is organised by the Câmara Municipal de Beja in partnership with Zarcos – Associação de Músicos de Beja, and the guiding idea is the connection between the programme and the public space it happens in, rather than a single main stage.
For the duration of the festival the old town is organised into four themed neighbourhoods:
Named locations across the programme include the Beco do Salvador, the Terreirinho das Peças and the courtyard of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia, all within a short walk of Praça da República.
Also on the bill across the two months: Paulo Ribeiro, Luís Correia Carmelo, Jorge Serafim, Ana Santos, Isabel Gonçalves and Martinho Marques, ECMTD and many others working in theatre, poetry and storytelling.
📍 Where: Centro Histórico de Beja — Praça da República and the surrounding streets
🗓️ When: 22 July – 20 September 2026

Beja's historic centre is not a building but a stage. Each summer the Beja na Rua festival turns its streets, squares and courtyards into performance spaces, organised into four themed bairros: Bairro das Flores, Bairro do Amor, Bairro da BD and Bairro das Cores.
Named locations used by the programme include the Beco do Salvador, the Terreirinho das Peças and the courtyard of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia — all within a few minutes' walk of each other. Outside festival season the same streets hold the castle, the Museu Rainha Dona Leonor and most of the city's cafés and restaurants.
