Bruno Pernadas is a Portuguese composer, guitarist and producer whose records sit somewhere between jazz, pop and library music without belonging to any of them. His arrangements are dense but unhurried — layered woodwinds, vintage keyboards, spoken passages — and they have made him one of the most recognisable voices to come out of Lisbon in the last decade.
His debut How Can We Be Joyful in a World Full of Knowledge? arrived in 2014, followed in 2016 by Those Who Throw Objects at the Crocodiles Will Be Asked to Retrieve Them on Pataca Discos, the record that took his name well beyond Portugal.

Alongside his own albums he works extensively as an arranger and producer for other artists, and his music has been picked up for film and television.
