Cascais Fest runs its first edition on Saturday 19 September 2026, on the sand at Praia de Carcavelos, from 17:00 until midnight. The theme is Pela Paz, for peace, and it is not decoration: Cascais holds the title of European Capital of Democracy for 2026, the municipality built the festival around it, and the date sits two days before the International Day of Peace. The Camara Municipal de Cascais is planning for around 40,000 people.
Padre Guilherme headlines, and is the edition's ambassador. He is the parish priest from Povoa de Varzim who plays techno in a clerical collar, and a beach at nightfall is close to the ideal room for what he does.
Also on the bill: HMB, the Portuguese soul and funk band, the Gospel Collective, and DJ Disi, who opens.
Entry is free, but you need a ticket and the beach has a limit. Tickets cost nothing and are handed out at the Cascais municipality shops and at the Junta de Freguesia de Carcavelos, or you can reserve one online.

Carcavelos is on the Cascais line out of Cais do Sodre, roughly twenty five minutes from central Lisbon, and the station is a short walk from the sand. On a festival night the train is the better call by some distance.
