For locals

There is more in your city than you have seen

The mural two streets over, the gallery you keep walking past, the show on this Thursday. Mapped where you actually live. Free, no account needed.

Your own neighbourhood

Street art and venues plotted street by street, so the parts of the city you think you know turn out to have things in them you have never stopped at.

What's on this week

Exhibitions, concerts and openings across the city in one place — including the small ones that never make it past a poster and an Instagram story.

It keeps changing

Walls get repainted, shows come and go. Coming back in a month is worth it, because the map is not the same map.

Add what you find

You walk these streets more than anyone. Photograph a piece that isn't listed and it goes on the map for everyone after you.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open your city

Start from your own city page — its artists, venues and what is currently on.

  2. 2

    Look at what's near you

Filter the map to street art, venues or events and see what sits within walking distance of where you already are.

  3. 3

    Fill in the gaps

Spot something missing? Add it in the app. Local knowledge is the only way the map gets good.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Everything is readable without signing in. An account only matters if you want to vote on work or submit artwork you have found.

My city is barely on here. Why?

BeThereGo is in alpha. Coverage is deepest in Lisbon, where the project started, and thinner everywhere else while we expand city by city. Submissions from people who live there are the fastest way that changes.

Is the information up to date?

Events are maintained continuously. Street art moves and gets painted over — if you find something gone or wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

Does it cost anything?

No. BeThereGo is free to use.
